OpenText technology creates a paperless office environment at DEAT
Businesses and citizens today are looking to government to help reduce human impact on the environment by establishing policies around key environmental issues like air and water pollution, waste management, biodiversity protection, and the protection of natural resources, wildlife and endangered species. Current environmental protection laws have very strict requirements regarding documentation and dissemination of impact reports, environmental testing results, and community right-to-know disclosures. ECM enables project managers and other officials to collect, store, update and distribute the vast array of required environmental impact documentation. This helps governments realize their environmental policy goals, bringing together the different aspects of policy development and centralizing access to data on the efficiency of environmental instruments and best practices used in policy development and implementation.
